Our services
Our services fall into four main categories:
Education for under 5’s
Children learn more in the first five years of their life than they do at any other time. For children with disabilities learning takes much longer, with many having to be taught basic skills that others take for granted. The services provide play and learning facilities and help parents understand how to fulfil their role as their child’s most important teacher.
Play and leisure
Disabled children and young people often find it difficult to access mainstream facilities such as leisure centres, clubs and holiday locations. These services provide access to a range of leisure, play and sports activities for children aged five to 19 years. Kids are a flagship organisation in this area.
Family support
Services designed to provide the family with the opportunity to pursue separate activities and to be independent of each other. Kids’ aims to meet the needs of the whole family - whether it is a short term break, the chance to meet other parents or siblings or to receive counselling and support services.
Information and training
Kids provides a wealth of advice and information to parents of Disabled children and professionals, developed over the past 37 years. Kids are leaders in this area.
