Kids Working for disabled children, young people and their families

Supporting our Work

Supporting our work

Each year Kids support over 6,000 Disabled children and their families but there are usually long waiting lists for Kids services. More money means more services for Disabled children and their families.  There are many ways that you can get involved and support us from coming to one of our events to becoming a volunteer to making a donation.  Your support really will make a difference. Thank you.

Why Kids needs your support

The demand for Kids services continues to grow.  In order to maintain and develop these services Kids needs to raise at least £2 million each year from voluntary donations.

All the money Kids receives through support from the public makes an important and direct impact on our work.

How your support will make a difference

£10 pays for a new cognitive therapy shape sorter or a stacking toy to allow a child to improve their manual dexterity.

£50 pays for a parent to attend a Makaton (sign language) course so they can sign with their child.

£295 will give a child one night’s residential care in our centres which allows a Disabled child or young person to take part in community life, have fun, make friends and gain independence.

£1,000 will pay for 10 children to enjoy a Kids’ activity break allowing families with a Disabled child the chance to enjoy a family holiday.
